TEMPTEST

DEMON OF DESIRE

Hey Fans, with the success of vampire theme movies like "Twilight" and "Underworld" and recently the television series "The Vampire Diaries" I wanted to create a vampire character for my comic book.

The first thing was to decide whether to make my vampire a male or a female. I was tempted to make my vampire character a male but then it struck me as I was tempted so I decided to makle my vampire a female and her name will be Temptest. Inspired, I created a bio for my character:

"An Attractive Vampire who uses her looks to get victims and once bitten, they are under

her control  and do her bidding. Temptest has a pet Chupacabra named Fang and he finds and

brings victims to his mistress. A narcissist creature, Temptest is always concern about her looks
and is seen either brushing her hair or sharpening or flossing her fangs. Cannot transform

into a bat but can fly. Sunlight and Garlic are her weakness." I also wrote what she would say

her victims:

IF YOU RUN, I WILL CATCH YOU.
IF YOU HIDE, I WILL FIND YOU.
YOUR BODY AND MIND WILL BELONG TO ME.
WHO AM I?

I AM TEMPTEST, DEMON OF DESIRE.

Now, I need to find a model to model Temptest. I placed an ad on Craigslist to find someone to
model my latest character. A few days later, someone responded. Her name was Sara. I set up a
time to meet with her. She had that look that I like for my vampire. She needed some pics of
her to build her portfolio so I made a deal with her to help her with her portfolio in exchange
she would model my character and she agreed.

While I was getting her Temptest costume, my photographer at that time took Sara's pics for
her portfolio. Once her pics were done, I found all of the parts for the Temptest character.
I even found someone to model Temptest's victim.

The day of the shoot came and what a disaster it was. Sara was very difficult to work with. She
used foul language and had a bad attitude. The sad part was she didn't want to wear her
vampire teeth. After that, I took Sara home. Maybe she was having a bad day I thought or
maybe she was nervous. I gave her some time off.

During that time off, someone contacted me saying he wanted to model a character of mine.
He had a build and was interested in modeling Fang, Temptest's pet Chupacabra. Someone on
my team at the time also found foam fitting teeth to make it easier for Sara to wear. I called
Sara to see if we can set up a time to do this photo shoot with Fang. She gave some poor
excuses but she said a photographer was going to take her pics and she can bring her
Temptest's costume and have the photographer take some pics of her and then send them to
me. I agreed but I also told her we found a solution for her vampire teeth. She immediately
cut me off before I explained and said she would only use toothpicks. I tried to tell her again

about the foam fitting teeth but she refuse to listen and said she would wear toothpicks. I did

not continue and asked when should I get her pics and she said in a few days. I ended my call

with  her giving her the benefit of the doubt. I wasn't happy with her as for someone who was
modeling a vampire, didn't want to wear vampire teeth and wanted to use toothpicks. I was
not going to let that happen if she wanted to continue to model Temptest. A few days had

passed and no pics from Sara. I did not bother to call or text her. I just deleted her phone

number as I was finished with her. My photographer took pics of the Fang model and he photo

shop his pics with Sara's that he took of her, added wings to Fang and added a background so

this is Temptest debut:

I never knew what ever happened to Sara but just like Chris P who modeled my

ComicBookGuy character, I will never work with Sara ever again.

A year or two passed and I wanted to bring Temptest back to life. I came across a new

modeling site and saw this model and said to myself she would make an awesome Temptest.

Her name was Jade and I contacted her via email and she responded. I set up an interview

and she was in and had no problem wearing vampire teeth. I had a makeup artist and Jade

suggested wearing a wig. My Kunai model at the time played her victim. Here are pics of Jade

as Temptest:

Jade then added a corset to the Temptest character. Here she is:

After that shoot, Jade left the project and returned back to school. She was very professional

unlike her predecessor, gave her feedbacks, gave suggestions to improve the character and

more. I was very grateful for her contributions and how she brought my character to life.

I suffered a loss of my mother in late 2011 and put a hold on some of my characters. Temptest

was one of them but someday I will bring Temptest back to life again.

In 2018, I was determined to bring Temptest back to life. My Shiverlique model called me and

had another friend who was interested in joining our team. We did meet and she was became

part of the team and was ready to become Temptest at the Power Ranger Convention here in

Orlando Fl but she left as she received an offer she couldn't refuse. I wished her well and told

her to keep in touch as the doors are always opened for her.

I was not going to give up as I wanted to bring Temptest back to life. I went on Model

Mayhem and came across a model who I felt would be perfect as Temptest. Her name is Candi

Vain. I emailed her via Snapchat and then we spoke and she was very interested. We met in

person and the rest is history as I found my Temptest model. Here is a sneak peek of one of

Temptest's updates:

Here is Candi as Temptest:

What is next for Temptest? Stay tune to find out.

Til Next Time.

EXORCISING THE DEMONS

Hi Fans, when you hear the word exorcising, you think of casting out the demons. Believe it or not, working on a comic book, I've encountered demons and believe it or not, I've casted out those demons as well. Let me begin:

In 2013, I hired this so called makeup artist I found on Model Mayhem. I interviewed her and told her about my project, concept and more. I told her it was very important for her to be there as I was going to create a video of The Trio of Terror which will feature Incinerate, Shiverlique and Kimbur for the first time together. She loved the concept and was in so I thought. I was going to give her the pics of her making up the models and promote her work.

The day of Megacon came and one by one the models showed up as well as the photographer/videographer. Everyone was ready however the makeup artist was not there. I called her but her voice mail answered. I texted her and nothing. Finally, i received a text from her saying she is unable to come. Her reason was she could not find her make up kit. She carried all of her make up in bags and she misplaced them and did not remembered where she placed them. How can you call yourself a make up artist and can not find your make up kit? She did not offered to help me find a solution or find someone or anything. She just wished me luck and to send her pics. I told the team what had happened and despite this they went on with the show. Both the Incinerate and Shiverlique models did the best they could with their own makeup and the Kimbur model was very professional. This is how the team looked like:
I was very disappointed and upset with the makeup artist. I wanted for all of my team to look good at Megacon especially since it was the debut of Shiverlique. I contacted the makeup artist via text and told her that I will not work with her ever again. I did wished her the best of luck.  A few minutes later, I received a text from her and her response to me was "k." No apologies or any attempts to make it up. After that text, I deleted her phone number and never heard from her again.

After that Megacon, it was time to exorcise those demons. In 2017, Lauren  Edinger debuted at Megacon as my Incinerate character. We made improvements to the character by adding a mask to her face, corset and a jumpsuit. Here is Incinerate's new look:
We did a photoshoot and video of Incinerate called "Incinerate delivering the Kiss of Death. Here it is:
Stay tune for more updates with Incinerate, Mistress of Mayhem

Shiverlique was next. Nakita Negrette joined our team and like Incinerate, we made some changes to Shiverlique's looks. We addeded jewlery, a cape, white wig and contact lens. Here is Shiverlique's new look:

Shiverlique's return to Megacon on 5/18 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fl.

We are planning on doing a photoshoot/video of Shiverlique and make some minor changes to her costume before we draw her in our comic book.

To continue, Megacon 2014 was another demon. I had issues with the photography team, a model calling out, issues with the makeup artist at the time but the biggest demon was the model who modeled my character ComicBookGuy. His name is Chris P.

When I interviewed him, I was impressed with his height and looks. He was not in great shape but we can try to pull it off. I hired Chris as my new ComicBookGuy model but what a disaster it was.

The day before Megacon, Chris called me  saying he was going to a concert but will be at Megacon. I told him not to stay out all night and expect to see him there. Megacon came and Chris was there. He got into his costume and his makeup was done however since Chris went out and partied the night before, he was tired, lethargic and not focus. He wanted to drink beer at Megacon and I told him no. A model wanted to get a hot dog from a vendor but since the ticket she had was not tied in with that vendor, she was unable to get it. Chris found out about that and was ready to cause a scene. I warned him should he caused a scene and if security was called, he would be on his own. He also yelled at me saying "hurry up.' and snapping his fingers at me. He also led my ninja model somewhere, he didn't know his character, he once again disrespected  me by saying "where my cards" knowing we didn't have time to make them up. The worst thing Chris did was the following: he noticed at Megacon my male ninja was getting attention from the ladies there. He was in great shape and he was shirtless. Chris wanted some of that attention. As I said earlier, Chris was not in good shape and my previous ComicBookGuy models were shirtless however the concept wasn't working so with Chris, we used a black compression shirt to give the illusion of muscles. Chris claimed it was hot at Megacon and took off his shirt. I was not happy with him at all. His biggest achievement at Megacon was getting us a picture next to Jon Heder of "Napoleon Dyamite." No disrespect to Mr. Heder but I did not like the movie and Chris did not know who Jon Heder was or seen the movie. Here is a pic of Chris' debut at Megacon with and without a shirt:

After this Megacon, I came very close in calling it quits with my dream but someone restored my faith not only in me but my project as well. A few weeks later after I cooled down, I set up a meeting with Chris. I told him Megacon was a disaster and how he contributed to this fiasco. A few points I brought up one was he yelled at me saying "hurry up." and snapping his fingers at me. His response to me was "oops." My response to him was "oops." is right and I told him I am the boss and not him and he was to never again to yell hurry up or snap his fingers at me. He apologized then we moved on to other issues like ready to cause a scene for a hot dog, wanting to drink more beer, not knowing his character, stripping and more. He blamed his lack of experience for this. I told him I believed in second chances but I also believed in three strikes and you're out. This was Chris's first strike. Regretfully, Chris did not took advantage of his second chance.

We started a new blog at the time so I asked him to write a post about modeling a superhero. A few weeks passed and nothing from Chris. I called and asked him what is going on. He told me he could not write his post as he has ADHD and could not stayed focus. We met at a Panera Bread and did a interview and wrote down his thoughts. My Electricidad model at the time was able to get us an interview at 100.3 FM here in Orlando. Regretfully, I could not take Chris as he still did not knew his character or how he was going to behave so no ComicBookGuy appearance. Later that year, we were going to the Power Ranger Convention as I had a new Spice model.

Chris, while he acted professionally in front of the camera, he did not behave behind the camera. A few examples, he still did not knew his character and yelled "Everyone is comparing me to Batman." muttering "I want a break.", wanting to go a date with our Spice model after she told him no and has a boyfriend and his response to her was "it doesn't matter." The greatest mistake Chris did at the Power Ranger Convention was another attempt to strip. He was told to go the restroom and change. After a quick investigation, I had another meeting with Chris. He denied asking our Spice model out but wanting to hang out. I told him that was not that I heard or understood plus other issues at the convention which led to his suspension. I told him to go to our website at the time and study his character's bio. He responded back saying teh website had not been updated with his images. Here is where his arrogance appeared. I told him to study his character's bio as I will decide when I was going to update the website( which I never used his images for my website.) After Megacon 2015, we met one more time but I did not see any change in Chris and later that year, we parted ways.Looking back,I should have fired Chris after Megacon 2014. I wished Chris P the best but I would never work with that man ever again after the headaches he caused.

I found two replacements for ComicBookGuy one in 2015 and one in 2016. Both made one appearance each  and left after their appearances. They are always welcome back as how they treated this project so seriously and professionally. However, I still needed a ComicBookGuy model.

One day, I was browsing on Model Mayhem and came across Angel Cuevas' profile. He is Spanish, a body builder, a father, ex military but most important a man of God. I thought he would make an excellent ComicBookGuy but instead of emailing him, I didn't take a chance thinking he would not be interested so instead, I placed an ad on Craigslist looking for a Spanish male model. I received an response and it was Angel. Destiny brought us together as he is a superhero in real life. Angel got himself in extreme shape for his debut for Megacon 2017 and here he is for Megacon 2017:

COMICBOOKGUY

There were two other characters that their demons were exorcised as well. My Temptest character who is a vampire and my Dr. Damon character who is half human, half cyborg scientist. There is one character left which is my Semilla character so we shall see what happens next so stay tune.

Til next time.
