ANDREW ANDRADE/SEMILLA

When I was offer to model the character Semilla for an up and coming comic book, I was excited as I never done cosplay before and this is a new experience and you never know what this can lead to. To prepare for modeling Semilla, I did two hours of exercises, a lot of walking and eating right.

After the Semilla makeup was done, I felt him taking over as it made me closer to nature and hear the howling of the wind. I never had makeup done on me so this experience was "lovely."

In regards to opportunities, I have to say that everyone has an opportunity whether you are Spanish or not, it is up to you. Me modeling Semilla, I represent the Spanish community as I can speak Spanish and English and my character is not evil as some Latinos are protrayed and my character shows we can portray good characters as well.

The advice that I can give anyone who wants to wants to make modeling a career is good attitude pays you back. Take as much opportunity as you can. Work hard to get your name out there. Never come with a negative attitude. If you have a good mentality, you can see what people will think of you. Bad attitude will not only effect you but the people with and around you.

MICAELA MONTGOMERY/DOLLFACE

When I found out and interview to be a model for the Hall of Comics, I was excited as I have been trying to get into acting, build my modeling portfolio and
getting drawn into a comic book what a way to upstart your career.

My character that I am modeling is Dollface. Dollface is a doll where I play with toys, but she is evil. I have fun with this character. I like the fact that she is cute but she is feared. I want people to know she will get the job done no matter the cost.

To prepare for the Dollface character, once I put on the makeup and the costume, she comes natural. I add a little sinister and perky to her. She is perky but deadly.

Going to comic book conventions as Dollface is fun. I joke around with other cosplayers. Interacting with other cosplayers is not a problem for me as I want to show people what I'm made of. Megacon is just the beginning.

The advice I would give to anyone who wants to follow their dream is you have to have a positive attitude. 85% of modeling and acting is rejection but you can't stop. You have to continue to try and never give up. Be true with yourself. Attitude is important no matter what you do.
