FIREARM

Hey Fans, it's that time again to highlight one of our characters. I wanted to create a character that would be strong and tough, knows how to fight and take a punch, know about weapons and down the road become the love interest os ComicBookGuy. I wanted my new character to be a woman. I needed a unique name for my latest character so I began my search as I wanted her to be a cross between the Punisher and the Terminator. I came across the word Firearm and it was the perfect name for her.

I began to write her bio and came up with this "This tough beauty is all business when it comes to fighting crime. She believes in shoot first and ask questions second. She does not believe in innocent until proven guilty. In her eyes, all criminals are guilty and delivers tough justice to anyone she captures. She is the Judge, Jury and Executioner all wrapped in one. Firearm has amazing fighting skills and can take a punch. Firearm is a weapons expert as she has a laser gun, another gun that shoots grenades bullets to name a few in her arsenal. She is seen riding a motorcycle she calls SideKick."

Inspired, the time came to look for a model to model Firearm. I went on Model Mayhem and came across the profile of Naidymar Pacheco. Not only was she beautiful but tall and had some fighting skills. I sent her an email and she responded and we had an interview and I hired her. We set up a photoshoot of Naidymar as Firearm and here is the results from her photoshoot:

Here are more pics of Naidymar as Firearm:

After the photoshoot was done, Naidymar left the project  to pursue more of her modeling career. Grateful to her as she was totally AMAZING!

Megacon was coming up and I wanted to give Firearm exposure so I needed to find another model to model Firearm. I went on Model Mayhem and found Sevy Devi. Just like Naidymar, I was impress with her background and sent her an email. She responded and we set up an interview and I hired her to be the next Firearm model. She made her debut as Firearm at Megacon in Orlando, Fl on April 2011. Here is Sevi as Firearm:

Here are her pics of Sevi as Firearm taking on our other characters at Megacon 2011:

Firearm vs Kunai

Here is Firearm's video from Megacon 2011:

After Megacon, Sevi moved on but I was grateful to her for modeling Firearm and doing just like Naidymar an AMAZING JOB!

I didn't do anything with the Firearm character as I had some personal issues to deal with but I wanted to bring Firearm to life again.

My model Nakita Negrette, who currently is modeling my character Shiverlique called me. She told me she has a friend who is interested in working with us. I told her to give her friend my number to call me which she did. Her friend's name is Nay Ness. Nay called me and we spoke and set up a time to meet. We met and found out she is a body builder which was perfect for the character I had in mind for Nay. I told her about my character Firearm that she knows how to fight, take a punch and a weapon expert. Nay loved it and was in. Here is a sneak peek of Nay flexing her muscles:

I found and improved on Firearm's guns:

LAUREN EDINGER/INCINERATE

When I was hired to model Incinerate, it was the coolest experience and opportunity. Playing a villian is a dream come true. The character Incinerate is a fiery version of Poison Ivy. I also like dressing up as well. I'm a totally different person when I put on the makeup and costume of Incinerate.

I'm generally a shy person but when I'm Incinerate, I'm aggressive and more confident. I like taking pics with other cosplayers and doing my video as Incinerate

Totally opposite of my real self. Incinerate does takes over me. I have more attitude, I'm sassy, totally different but I like it. Many people like Incinerate as she is an original character. Besides taking pics, my potential fans and followers ask me questions about her as she brings attention and brings crowds to me.

When I saw my sketch as Incinerate, my reaction is was "SO COOL!"
I'm a comic book character. An experience I will never forget and glad I'm a part of.

Maybe in the future, I would get a better wig for Incinerate (lol) I really like the character.

I want to add more to her, have more victims maybe change the makeup.

The advice I will give to any potential or future cosplayers/models is don't be afraid. Do what you want. People at cons are accepting of what you wear and do.

NAKITA NEGRETTE/SHIVERLIQUE

When I interviewed and offer the part to model a comic book character, my reaction was it would be fun. This is a new opportunity and bringing a character to life, would be a new experience.

The character I model is Shiverlique. She is exciting because she is so creative with her ideas. She brings ice and personality to life. I feel Shiverlique taking over me when I model her especially with the make up and the costume

It is exciting especially in front of the camera.

This is new to me appearing as Shiverlique at a comic book convention. Having people coming to me and taking my picture with them and other characters, it is unforgettable. It is       inspiring as these people can be potential fans and followers.

The advice that I can give to anyone who wants to be a model or cosplayer is study your             work. Every model is different so study your craft. They have to bring their personality and       can not be shy. Watch music videos, movies whatever your dreams are. Get used to rejection       in that there will be one opportunity. You have to have a strong will and never giving up. You     really have to want it.

You will be seeing more of me as Shiverlique so stay tuned. In the future, I would like to               model Woman Woman or a new character but fighting for the good side.

ANDREW ANDRADE/SEMILLA

When I was offer to model the character Semilla for an up and coming comic book, I was excited as I never done cosplay before and this is a new experience and you never know what this can lead to. To prepare for modeling Semilla, I did two hours of exercises, a lot of walking and eating right.

After the Semilla makeup was done, I felt him taking over as it made me closer to nature and hear the howling of the wind. I never had makeup done on me so this experience was "lovely."

In regards to opportunities, I have to say that everyone has an opportunity whether you are Spanish or not, it is up to you. Me modeling Semilla, I represent the Spanish community as I can speak Spanish and English and my character is not evil as some Latinos are protrayed and my character shows we can portray good characters as well.

The advice that I can give anyone who wants to wants to make modeling a career is good attitude pays you back. Take as much opportunity as you can. Work hard to get your name out there. Never come with a negative attitude. If you have a good mentality, you can see what people will think of you. Bad attitude will not only effect you but the people with and around you.

MICAELA MONTGOMERY/DOLLFACE

When I found out and interview to be a model for the Hall of Comics, I was excited as I have been trying to get into acting, build my modeling portfolio and
getting drawn into a comic book what a way to upstart your career.

My character that I am modeling is Dollface. Dollface is a doll where I play with toys, but she is evil. I have fun with this character. I like the fact that she is cute but she is feared. I want people to know she will get the job done no matter the cost.

To prepare for the Dollface character, once I put on the makeup and the costume, she comes natural. I add a little sinister and perky to her. She is perky but deadly.

Going to comic book conventions as Dollface is fun. I joke around with other cosplayers. Interacting with other cosplayers is not a problem for me as I want to show people what I'm made of. Megacon is just the beginning.

The advice I would give to anyone who wants to follow their dream is you have to have a positive attitude. 85% of modeling and acting is rejection but you can't stop. You have to continue to try and never give up. Be true with yourself. Attitude is important no matter what you do.

SEMILLA

When creating a comic book character, you have to give a lot of thought to it to get the results you want. That's what I did with my character Semilla. Semilla which means see in Spanish was the angel I wanted. Have a plant man of Latin descent. I had a Latin male model and his name is Sami Torrealba. Here is Sami as Semilla:

Sami also modeled my two other characters, ComicBookGuy and Liquido as well. Sami did moved on but I was grateful for his help.

I wanted to still keep Semilla alive as my goal was to bring him to a convention. I began to look at Model Mayhem and came across Joey Garcia's profile. He knew a lot about comic books and more. We met in person and he agreed to model Semilla but wanted to model ComicBookGuy which I agreed as he was perfect for that character as well. Here is Joey as Semilla:

Here is Joey Garcia's video as Semilla:

Joey moved on but I wanted to bring Semilla to a convention. I found another model to model Semilla but he became cocky and arrogant and never made his debut as Semilla. One day, I placed an ad on Craigslist, looking for a male model to model ComicBookGuy which I fond him but someone else answered and his name is Andrew Andrade. When I interviewed Andrew, something about his professionism and positive attitude that besides hiring him, made me change the Semilla from being an evil eco terrorist to an ally to ComicBookGuy. Here is Andrew as Semilla:

Andrew will be making his debut as Semilla on 5/28/17 at Megacon at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fl.

DOLLFACE

Hey Fans, in the comic book world, every hero has a arch enemy or a villian obsessed in destroying the hero. Batman has The Joker and Superman has Lex Luthor so I wanted ComicBookGuy to have someone in that category.

I needed to come up with such a character. One day, at the church that I was going to at the time, there was this young girl who would always come up to me and would tell me a joke. She would always tell me a joke every time she saw me. I gave her the nickname Joke Master and she loved it. However, at the same time, the experience was the inspiration I needed for my new character Joke Master.

I wanted Joke Master to be a female and not a male. I went on Model Mayhem to look for a model and found Victoria Bush. The best part about her was she knew about the comic book world and she was a costume designer. Here is Victoria as Joke Master:

Joke Master creates toys of destruction and tells jokes. If she told you a joke and you didn't laugh, she would kill you by putting a smiley mask filled with acid. Joke Master made her debut at the Comic Expo in Orlando Fl in 2013 and won second place at their costume contest. Joke Master made appearance at the Orlando Toy & Comic Con and again at Megacon in 2014.

There were problems in regards to Joke Master that Victoria voiced as there were similarities to The Joker. She moved on but she was right but I wasn't going to give up.

I met another model and wanted her to model "Joke Master" but explained the problem about the character. She also has knowledge about the comic book world and came up with the idea of Kidder. I like that so I was going to rename Joke Master to Kidder and come up with a different look. However the model had a offer to model somewhere else and moved on. I was still determined to find a model to model Kidder.

Our model Angel Cuevas sent me a message that a model was interested in our project. I told him to have her contact me which she did. I was impressed with her knowledge about comic books including the name of the female Joker "Duela Dent." I wanted to interviewed her and she was there. We talked and Micaela Montgomery  became part of our team. I had a concept for the Kidder character and began to get her costume but it wasn't working. So we brainstormed and then we began to finding the right costume and makeup for Kidder which we did. I planned a photo shoot and as well as going to do a video. Micaela asked if I was opened in changing her name from Kidder to Dollface. I LOVE the name so from the ashes of Joke Master came Dollface. Here is Micaela Montgomery as Dollface:

Dollface will be making her Megacon debut on 5/28/17 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando Fl. Stay tuned for her pics and video coming soon. Makeup was done by Jessica Woodrough.

Til next time and thank you for letting us help you bring the Superhero in you to life!
