SWIFT KICK

Hey everyone! Robby/Swiftkick here! There is just so much to say about this comic book, the creator, the people! I found Alex on Craigslist of all things looking for modeling gigs. I saw an ad for someone that could portray a super hero, so I decided to give it a shot! He emailed me back almost immediately, asking more about myself and my martial arts experience, and wondering if we could meet and talk more about the gig and becoming the prestigous Swift Kick! I was honored, and super stoked to be portraying a ninja in a comic book! My passion is to be an actor, and I have been one since I was a young age and one of the main things I wanted to do, was portray a superhero in a movie! This is the stepping stones to having my dreams come true! I have not had one bad moment working with Alex, or being Swift Kick! It has pushed me to be even more focused on my fitness, my health, and my martial arts! I look forward to having a very successful time as Swift Kick and working with Alex!

SHIVERLIQUE

With a comic book convention coming this November to Orlando, FL, I want to show off my characters there. One of my characters in particular is Shiverlique. Shiverlique is one of my first characters in my Antioch project. Later on, I will explain how the name Shiverlique came about.

I wanted Shiverlique to be special so I went to look for a model to model her. As luck would have it, a model had an ad on Craigslist wanting to do different projects. I answered her ad and we met. Her name? Tatiana Karmanova. She's a Russian model and, at the time, she was a perfect fit. She knew acting as well as makeup and had an outfit, but the only thing that was missing was the name of my character. I told her she was modeling an ice queen so ... the character is made of ice. She gave me a suggestion to look up everything with the word cold, as she will come up with something on her end.

There were, during my research, plenty of words related to cold. One word that stood out to me was the word shiver. The definition for that word is: to shake slightly and uncontrollably as a result of being cold.

The word 'shiver' was different and I liked it for the name for my character. I contacted Tatiana and told her I came up with the word shiver. She liked it, but said it was missing something to make the character stand out. She told me about the actress Angelina Jolie sometimes was called Angelique. If we use the 'lique' part and combined it with the word shiver ... we will have the perfect name for the character. Henceforth, Shiverlique was born.

Tatiana Karmanova as Shiverlique
Sadly, though, Tatiana Karmanova is no longer with our organization but I wanted to give Shiverlique some more exposure in addition to the video and pictures I posted on my website. I wanted Shiverlique to make appearances at some comic book conventions, but I would need a new model since Tatiana was gone. I went on model mayhem to look for her replacement. It was going to be difficult, but I had to try. After viewing and reading a few profiles, I came across one that stood out. Her name? Anna Gibbs.

After seeing her pics and reading her profile, I wanted her to model Shiverlique. I immediately sent her an email and waited for her to response. A few days later she sent word and we set up a meeting to talk. Our meeting was a success.  Not only was she beautiful, she was also very creative. She came up with a different look for Shiverlique to bring out more of her beauty. I liked what she came up with and, subsequently, made her debut as the "new look" Shiverlique at the Comic Expo in Orlando, Fl and later on at Megacon.

  Anna Gibbs' turn as Shiverlique
All good things must come to an end, as before with Tatiana, Anna moved on to new things and I am very thankful for what she did for the Shiverlique character and for taking this job so seriously.

Elisabeth Hale took on the challenge of Shiverlique but she wanted to make some  modifications to the Shiverlique character. Here are her modification to the Shiverlique character:

Unfortunately, Elisabeth Hale never did model Shiverlique as she moved to New York for a better opportunity but I am grateful for the ideas and feedbacks  she gave about the Shiverlique costume and more.

What is next for Shiverlique? Stay tune to find out. To know more about Shiverlique and the rest of the Hall of Comics' characters, go to www.hallofcomicsabs.com to see them in action.

DIAMOND

WOMAN ASSASSIN
As we are getting ready to do appearance at the Power Rangers Convention on November 2015 in Orlando, Fl , I wanted to share with you the fans about my character Diamond.
I wanted to create a character that was special and unique sort of like a Colossus of the X-Men but a woman. I wanted her to be strong and have no weakness. I passed by a jewelry store and saw diamonds then it hit me, my new character will be called Diamond after the strongest mineral in the world.
I wanted to continue with my goal of incorporating diversity, so I decided I wanted Diamond to be Asian. I went on Model Mayhem and found Lisa Queen. At the time, she was looking to do something different so I contacted her and she immediately responded. We set up an interview and I was impressed with her. We did a pre Megacon show and a photo shoot of her as Diamond vs ComicBookGuy. For her photo shoot, she changed her look and I added besides her transforming into full diamond mode when going to battle, she also becomes a living laser during the day and night as part of her powers.
Here is Lisa Queen as Diamond:

Lisa Queen moved on but was grateful of her contribution to the Diamond character.
Lisa did give me an idea to have Diamond use a cane. I was able to find a cane with a diamond at the end of it so that when Diamond becomes a living laser, she can focus her power through her cane. I needed another model to model Diamond so I went back to Model Mayhem and found Tracy Kao. She didn’t have much experience in modeling but wanted to try. I contacted her and she responded. We set up an interview and I hired her to model Diamond. Here is Tracy’s transformation into Diamond:

Tracy decided to return back to school and leave modeling.

A new convention called the Comic Expo was coming to Orlando Fl and I said this would be good to give some of my characters exposure. I wanted Diamond to go but with Tracy gone,I needed to find another model. I placed an ad on Craigslist and Abby Gonzales responded. We set up an interview and like the ideas she had for Diamond. Here is Abby as Diamond at the Comic Expo:

After the Comic Expo, Abby moved on.
My goal was to have Diamond to make her debut at Megacon so I went on Model Mayhem and found Maggie Paala. What was so special about Maggie besides being a model, she was also a body builder. I contacted her via email and she responded. I hired her and I ordered her costume to make Diamond’s debut at Megacon special. Here is Maggie as Diamond:

Unfortunately, Maggie was unable to attend Megacon due to a migraine she had. My makeup artist at the time quickly found another model to model Diamond for Megacon.
Here is Maggie Ta as Diamond:

  Both Maggies have moved on.

As I mentioned in my last post about Angela Phan who modeled Spice, I always told her if she wanted to come back after she had her baby, she would be welcome. She contacted me and wanted to come back. I told her that I had replaced her as Spice but I wanted her as Diamond. She accepted and did some research on my character while I began to order her costume. She told me she did not wanted her face made as a diamond and made a suggestion about highlighting her face with diamonds. I like the idea as when she goes to battle, she can transforms herself into full diamond mode. She like that idea. Here is Angela as Diamond:
